CITY OF LAKELAND
Central Florida is one of the world's premier tourist attractions. Lakeland is conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, which makes it the perfect location for residents and visitors. All of the thrilling attractions such as Walt Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios, Sea World and Busch Gardens are easily accessible. Spaceport USA at the Kennedy Space Center and the Daytona Speedway are also nearby.

Famous performers and Broadway-style shows can be seen at The Lakeland Center and the newly renovated Polk Theatre. A host of family attractions can be found right downtown, among them unique restaurants, shops, museums and theaters.

Recognized nationally by Money Magazine as the 10th " Best Place to Live in America" for 1998, for medium-sized cities in the south, Lakeland offers its residents an exceptional quality of life. Among the factors for which Lakeland received high marks include its affordable housing, outstanding educational opportunities, modern healthcare facilities and abundant recreational activities.

Living and working in Lakeland also offers a number of possibilities. The city's environment is appealing because of its ideal climate, low crime rate and strong economy.
