Enabling Offline Gmail will break the extension. It is unclear how long it will take to figure out the changed to make this work again.
If the unread count looks wrong, do a Gmail search for "is:unread" and check if you have archived unread mail.
If you have a Gmail hosted email, simply use username@hosteddomain.tld as the username in the notifier.
As of 0.6, Gmail Notifier now supports checking multiple accounts at the same time.
Gmail Notifier stores all passwords in your browser's password manager (listed under chrome://gm-notifier/ as the host). It defaults to using https to connect to Gmail unless you check an option in preferences.

Useless
Each time you open the browser it prompts the master password window for password instead of using your gmail login like better gmail (which is not updated to the new FF 3.5.
