The focus of my research, writing, visiting professorships and guest lecturing is in the general area of the sociology of religion.  More specific and current research involves the1990s revivals in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movements, the Assemblies of God, spirituality/religion and health, and an inner healing prayer technique (Theophostic Ministry).

I have recently offered courses or guest lectures on topics generally related to the sociology of religion at Ashland Theological Seminary, Fuller Theological Seminary, Gordon College (Wentham, MA), Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine, Vanguard University, and the University of Akron.
