Weather Summary

Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday, October 07, 2008. A changing weather pattern will bring changing weather to much of the continent on Tuesday.

A ridge of high pressure will move through the middle portion of the continent and end the day anchored from the Scandinavian Peninsula through the Adriatic Sea. Dry conditions and cool to mild weather will accompany this feature.

Farther to the east, a cutoff low pressure system will track through the Black Sea region before lifting into western Russia by the end of the day. There will not be a tremendous amount of moisture wrapped up in this system, but scattered showers are certainly possible mainly north of the Black Sea. A line of precipitation will also stretch into western Russia from this feature.

In the west, a strong storm will slam into the western portion of the continent from Spain through the United Kingdom. This storm will bring considerable precipitation to the region and especially in the English Channel area. Strong wind will also accompany this storm as it moves through the area. The main front will end the day stretched from France through the North Sea.

London will rise into the mid-60s(F)/upper 10s(C), while Paris will see similar temperatures. Moscow will rise into the upper 50s(F)/mid-10s(C).
