w.bloggar 4.00 Release Canditate 2

As promised, I'm here to announce the brand new Release Candidate of w.bloggar 4.00. I must advise you that this is still a pre-release, so you may found some bugs and not all planned features for the final release. Download RC2 from here. You do not need to uninstall your 3.x, install it over the previous versions, this way you'll keep all your accounts and settings.

It has some corrections and improvements since the RC released last week, you can find out what's new opening the History file at Help menu.

For the Premium Users a note: Next week will be also available exclusively at the Beta Forum a Mozilla based version of w.bloggar. This will be released as an alternative to the current IE version on the final release. This version shows the Preview panel using the Mozilla Control that loads your Firefox or Mozilla browsers into w.bloggar instead of Internet Explorer.

The final release is now planned to 16-Dec-2004 on the 3rd Anniversary of w.bloggar, stay tuned!

Version 4.0 Release Candidate

I decided jump over the beta 2, and make the Release Candidate version, I had to make the ToDo list smaller and let some new features to the version 4.1. The 4.0 already have a good set of new features and is around with the Premium Users for several months.

This new release only brings 2 new small options (Set the Blog List size, and also ping to Technorati and blo.gs) but has a lot of corrections from Beta 1. If you're a Premium User go now to the Beta Forum and get the link.

As I promised before here, this Release Candidate version will be open to any user in about one week from now.

I've uploaded a new install package (build 4.00.0177) with a correction to a bug on editing posts using MT or any metaWeblog API based tool, it also has changes on CMS.ini file: a small correction on Blog-City entry and the Xaraya blog tool was added.

If you already installed the RC version please open the about box at Help menu and check if you're using the build 4.00.0176, if you do, you will have to download and install the package again.
