Welcome to the Living Prayer Center, a ministry of The Upper Room®. When you submit a prayer request using this Web page, your request will be emailed to the Prayer Center within 24 hours, offered for prayer at The Upper Room Chapel, and sent out to Upper Room Covenant Prayer Groups as well.
To protect the privacy of those requesting prayer, each request is edited before it is sent to Covenant Prayer Groups. The request is edited to remove any information that would identify the person or situation needing prayer.
LIVING PRAYER CENTER
The Upper Room® Living Prayer Center was started in April 1977. Five volunteers answered 300 prayer requests that first month. Today 175 volunteers are scheduled to answer the toll-free telephone lines 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year and pray for 30,000 prayer requests a month. Funding for the toll-free line is provided by The Upper Room, United Methodist Men, and individual gifts.
