While at WalMart the other day, we ran across the one of the coolest cakes I’ve ever seen. It’s a hamburger & fries cake.

Everything pictured above is either cake or frosting. Right down to to the fries and ketchup.

To make it even better, when the hamburger was cut, the bun was white cake and the burger in the middle was chocolate cake. So it even looked like a burger once you took a bite out of it.

A lot of thought and time was taken to make this cake and it turned out pretty darn cool. We just had to buy it when we saw it was only $11.

The announcement today of the Apple iPhone is amazing. The little device that can do phone, music, videos, tv and so much more blows me away. All this with no buttons, just a touch screen. It’s basically like a Mac Nano. It’s almost perfect. The main, and killer, downside is that it’s Cingular only. I’m not switching to them anytime soon and I really wish they could have partnered with Verison or a few cell companies.

One good thing, or bad depending on how it turns out, is that when I go to conferences, I’ll go pretty much anywhere the group goes. Get a bunch of different and you never know where you’ll end up. While at SES in Chicago I found myself at two restaurants I wouldn’t normally try.

The first on was a Thai restaurant. Now if you ask me where I’d like to go eat, I’d say KFC or out for pizza. Thai however has never been on my radar but I went anyways.

The much anticipated (at least by me) new Sugarland album was released this week and it’s great. Unlike other artists, they still have all the magic the with the second album as they did with the first. Heck, I still really enjoy the first album. From energetic songs to powerful ballads, Enjoy the Ride is well worth the download (or in store purchase if you’re into that).

Since my wife recently had a Pulmonary Embolism we have to watch what foods she eats. Vitamin K is one thing she doesn’t want to get to much of as it will interact with her coumadin medication. We know to say away from green vegetables, but there are a lot of other foods high in vitamin K too.

We recently came across Ptinr.com, a great website that lets you put in any food and it’ll tell you if it’s high, medium or low in vitamin K. Did you know that Cheetos are high? Starbursts are low. Chocolate Milk is high. Chicken Nuggets are low. They also have a great, 10 page, print out of most foods and their vitamin K value that you can take with you.

Today marks my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, yesterday we had a surprise party for them and got about 50 of their friends together. They had no idea it was going on either.

Congratulations mom & dad! 40 years is a long time and you make it look easy.

I heard that Zooomr was giving out free pro accounts for signing up and blogging an image so I thought I’d join up. Still not sure how it all works, but I’m waiting for my free upgrade.

For my first image, I looked back though some old photos and found a picture of a nasty fish that was served up at my sister-in-laws wedding. It’s salmon and doesn’t it make you want to …um… dig in?

Here is my five minute review.  I got my invite so I just had to take a few minutes to play with it.

Works on a Mac in Firefox and seems quite nice.  No Safari support.  Scrolls better than iRows and has a very simple and clean design.

I don’t see any ‘link’ abilities though or sheet tabs.  You can freeze rows/columns and change the color of text and do basic formatting.

All the PC shortcuts are here, no Mac keyboard shortcuts though.

No Spell checking.

Imagine my suprise when my wife’s suggestions to her PC issues was to get me a new computer and she’d take my old one.

The end result was a purchase of a new iMac. It’s running the intel chip and has so many new and cool programs and features!!

So far it’s wonderful and I haven’t even played with half of the new features.

This is quite a step up from my Powerbook 667!!

When I was a kid I remember getting candy cigarettes. I was so cool! I’m sure that Target or Walmart would never sell such a thing these days but when I was at a store in the Mall of America the other day, there they were.

Now I like the candy version of cigarettes much more than the real version and having them again is just fun.
