Over The Air ‘08

I’ll be in London at the end of this week for Over The Air ‘08. The 48 hour event is organised by the Mobile Monday London team and is taking place at Imperial College on Friday 4th April and Saturday the 5th April.

The idea behind OTA is to get as many leading Mobile Developers into the same place for 48 hours and have them present to each other, discuss ideas and use the synergy created as inspiration for an over-night Hack-a-thon where they can get together and develop new ideas and products. The event culminates with a competition on the final day with awards given out to the best of the over-night creations.

There’s a Presentation Schedule up at the event blog which isn’t complete yet but there are already a great group of talented people presenting on a wide range of Mobile related subjects. So far my schedule for the first day is the Mobile User Experience Panel, Device Atlas Masterclass (by Andrea), Progressive Enhancements Masterclass, Mobile Web Masterclass, Bringing Web 2.0 to Mobile and finally the iPhone WebApps Masterclass.

The schedule for day 2 is still taking shape and I look forward to finding out what will be on offer. Volantis are hoping to present on Day 2 (pending confirmation) so pass by if you’re interested in knowing more about what we do.
