Past, Present, And Future Of The Internet Tablets

Eldar at Mobile-Review.com has taken the time to really explore the Nokia Internet Tablets, starting with the N810 and looking at where the product family started from. Once you’ve emptied a pot of coffee reading there, you won’t want to miss Ari Jaaski’s blog, where he looks at the future of Nokia, Open Source, and the Internet Tablets. Ari is attending OSiM USA 2008 in San Francisco.

Ari takes a look at Nokia’s current involvement with Linux (in the Internet Tablets) and where it needs to go in terms of community involvement. I really like that we have yet another Nokian, from a non-S60 department, talking up the importance of the community. Over at Symbian-Guru.com, which mainly focuses on the S60 handsets, I love talking about and really participating in the S60 community.

Brew up another pot of coffee before you attempt to read through Ari’s post, it’s not something to skim through, and gives plenty of information as to where the Finnish manufacturer has been and where they’re headed in terms of the Open Source community and its involvement.
