IEEE Panama celebrates Dia del Programador
15 Sep 2008 5:26pm GMT Last Friday I got invited to speak at an event organized by IEEE Panama at the Universidad Tecnologica en Panama City, Panama. Got invited to speak at IEEE Panama
9 Sep 2008 11:45pm GMT IEEE Panama and Universidad Tecnologica de Panama asked me to speak at an event this Friday called IEEE Dia del Programador. I'll be talking about Agile Development and what software craftsmen in general do and should do. The audience will consist of university students in their last year before graduation. This is a similar event, although of smaller scale, as the JUG conference last year. I'm sure it will be fun.

Larry O'Brien in Knowing.NET - Risk Factors for Offshore-Outsourced Development Projects: [...] Since this is a common profile, I thought I'd reproduce the Top 10 Risks. Some of these are universal across all project profiles ("Lack...

If you are old enough, then you've probably worked with classic client-server applications and don't believe that the web browser with tons of JavaScript is the ultimate solution to all computing problems. Those modern browser are nice and can do a lot of things. But there is nothing that comes close to a real desktop application, which is not restricted to the browser's sandbox, by default has a rich user interface and can...
