The demonic circus in Lakeland, Florida continues. Here Todd Bentley tells us what he does when “God’s not moving.”

Berit Kjos has written a new article on the paranormal phenomena at Todd Bentley’s Lakeland “revival”. Those who are convinced that the manifestations they are seeing are of God forget that there is a beautiful side of evil. Satan doesn’t manifest himself as a hideous creature trailing clouds of sulfur when he wants to attract followers. He comes as an angel of light. How often we forget that.

Todd Bentley’s revival of violence continues as he kicks a late stage cancer patient in the stomach to accomplish his “healing”. Someone needs to arrest this man for assault and battery. Where are the police in this county? Enough is enough.

This post from Soli Deo Gloria raises a very good point about gold dust in relationship to the Bible. I received a call from an upset listener yesterday. She was not happy that the term demonic deception was being used on the program I did last Friday where we played clips of Mr. Bentley claiming that God told him to kick an elderly worshiper in the face with his biker boot to effect healing. There are none so blind as those who will not see. If that alone wasn’t enough to open your eyes regarding Bentley, you don’t want to see. Further the trance dancing video I posted earlier was only further evidence of the spiritual darkness of this whole thing.

Puritan Fellowship has posted audio of Todd Bentley down at the Lakeland, Florida “revival”. It just gets worse. Demon possession, violence, 14-foot angels, astral travel, Todd Bentley has it all with which to regale his audience. A pastor from our area recently returned from Lakeland claiming that Todd “imparted” his powers to him. We can only hope he didn’t.

Pastor Jon Sharp of The Way Christian Fellowship has posted an audio clip of charismatic revivalist, Todd Bentley, that you need to hear. It’s not about believing in Jesus. Everybody already does that, Todd Bentley says. It’s believing in the angels that matters in this false prophet’s “awakening”.

Also, Todd has been engaged in deleting certain accounts of his angelic visitations, astral travel and other occult phenomena from his websites. Nice try, Todd. This website has documented some of the changes he is making to cover up his claims that are clearly occult in nature. What’s wrong? Did these things not happen? Did he not really meet St. Paul? Did his angel Emma not exist after all? Is he ashamed of these things? Or, better yet, did he make them up out of thin air to impress the masses who flock to hear him? Answers, Todd, answers.

Dr. Peter Jones of Christian Witness to a Pagan Planet has this excellent article on the New Spirituality. Dr. Jones went to school with John Lennon back in Liverpool and has followed the explosion of the eastern religions in the West since the cultural revolution of the 1960’s. He lists the major themes of the New Spirituality and describes its future. This article appears in the May/June issue of Modern Reformation Magazine.

The signers of the controversial “Evangelical Manifesto” have gotten the attention of one of the world’s most famous promoters of Luciferian New Spirituality, Deepak Chopra, and he likes what he sees. Yes, the author of the new book, The Third Jesus, as clearly an occult portrayal of the cosmic counterfeit Jesus as has ever been written, is pleased with the Evangelical Manifesto. So it’s time to call the offices of all those who signed on, like Os Guinness, for example, and ask them how they feel about getting kudos from one of the world’s leading New Agers. That’s quite a day’s work.

Some of us missed Brian McLaren’s December post on Christianity as a global threat. “Right wing” Christians, that is. But Brian assures us that there is a way out of an Armageddon scenario in the world. The first comment on the post is also enlightening.

That’s quite a “shift” McLaren has underway, with the help of men like Bill Hybels who just featured him at Willow Creek. What McLaren is promoting is the “Armageddon Alternative” taught by occult New Ager Barbara Marx Hubbard. Yesterday I joined Brannon Howse on his radio show Worldview Matters and we had a vigorous discussion on the spiritual deception coming through Oprah Winfrey and friends. There is an audio clip Brannon played where Oprah just comes right out and denies that there is one path to God and says, “there are a million ways to God”. A Christian woman in her audience says very clearly and loudly, “No, there’s only one way to God, and that’s through Jesus Christ,” but she is shouted down by Oprah and the other women in the audience. It’s a spiritual battle, friends. You can listen to the program here.

I referred earlier today to the gnostic revival going on in America and the West. I came across this website today for a gnostic church in Seattle. Taking a page from evangelicals with their t-shirt evangelism, coffee mugs, key chains and so forth, the gnostics even have an online store where you can get t-shirts with catchy sayings, like, “Just say know!” The idea of secret knowledge is sure making a comeback.

Hidden knowledge, The Secret, The Law of Attraction, it’s all part of a revival of gnostic heresies and occult teachings sweeping the West right now. A friend called last night to tell me about the infomercial airing on television in promotion of The Great Work, yet another course in the Law of Attraction teachings being marketed to the masses. The term, The Great Work, is used by several groups historically, including in the Kabbalisic texts of medieval times, the occult teachings of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and also by Thelemic mystics, one of which was the famed Aleister Crowley.

Now it’s being used to market the Law of Attraction teachings to a new generation. The promise is personal peace and personal fulfillment, and it’s yet more spiritual propaganda to seduce people into the world of the occult.

Oprah Winfrey is leading a revival of New Age teachings. Here is what her author of the moment, Eckhart Tolle is teaching on webcasts to millions of viewers:

I opened an email this afternoon from yet another publicist, unrelated to those New Spirituality DVD’s and books I have referenced earlier on Slice. This is the release I just received. It’s like a blizzard of this stuff these last few weeks.

In addition, the Chicago Sun-Times has this piece on Oprah’s spiritual direction with Eckhart Tolle and their 10-week webcast.

Last evening I did an interview with Brannon Howse on a radio station in Memphis, Tennessee. It was an intense interview regarding the tidal wave of false spirituality, from the emerging church leaders to Eckhart Tolle on Oprah. This interview flew by and hopefully will help listeners understand how all of these things are working together in the earth’s final spiritual revolt. The common ground for all world religions is meditation. That is why you will hear Rob Bell or Doug Pagitt and his wife promote yoga and going into the silence. Then you read the New Age author recommended by Rob Bell, Ken Wilber promoting the same contemplative practices as a confessional Buddhist. It’s all contacting the same spirit world. Until evangelicalism fully embraces contemplative spirituality, the final plan cannot be carried out.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! In what seems to be a trend here at Slice of Laodicea, I am posting a link to yet another blasphemous New Spirituality documentary (view the trailer here) being screened around the country. This time it’s one with the subtle title, Humanity Ascending. You have to hand it to these New Agers. They come right out and state their agenda. Barbara Marx Hubbard is one of the granddames of the New Spirituality movement in our time. She has been working for decades at her Center for Conscious Evolution. Note how evolution is always a part of these teachings. Those who believe that the teaching of evolution is going to turn children into secularists and humanists only with no sense of the spiritual are dead wrong. The ultimate goal of evolutionary teachings is to teach humanity that evolution is their path to godhood, and the next evolutionary leap is upon us. We shall all be gods. It is fascinating to see how important the tenants of evolution are to these occultic New Age teachers. Without evolution, their entire spiritual agenda of ascending to the heavens and dethroning God goes down the hatch. This is where schools teaching evolution will also eventually land. As we see the teaching of transcendental meditation being pushed in schools by men like Hollywood movie producer David Lynch, it is only the logical next step for those who have taught evolution all these years. The spirituality angle is ready to move forward, as educators look to solve the violence and mayhem created by a Godless teaching of origins. The world seems ready for the big shift.
