Protection is a Must for Churches

40/40 Prayer Vigil for Spiritual Revival and National Renewal

The 40/40 Prayer Vigil consists of 40 days of prayer from September 24 to November 2, 2008, culminating in 40 hours of around the clock intercession during the last 3 days of the Vigil. The Vigil focuses first on personal spiritual revival. It then covers an expanding circle of prayer concerns, from the church to the nation.

International World Changers Spread the Word to Greece's Immigrants

Tourists snap pictures and shoot video as 60 International World Changers hold an impromptu praise and worship service atop Mars Hill in Athens, Greece. As the students’ voices carry across the city of 4 million, an Iranian man on the fringes of the crowd presses forward to ask for a copy of the song lyrics. “Do you understand what is going on?” asks Jerry Johnson, Baptist Collegiate Ministries senior minister for Georgia Southern University. “Yes, you are Christians,” the man replies.

Is Jesus The Only Way

A report by the Pew Research Center revealed some interesting stats: 57 percent of the evangelical surveyed reported believing that "many religions can lead to eternal life." But that result was not as surprising as another: 21 percent of those who identified themselves as "atheist" said they believe in a God or universal spirit. One must wonder whether many of those polled understood what it means to be an evangelical or an atheist. I also suspect that Kelly Boggs is correct that many evangelicals confused the term "religion" with "denomination" -- which, if true, casts doubt on the validity of the 57 percent figure.
