Get our solution for your server
True, your RSS feeds are bringing your bandwidth cost up like never before. More readers subscribe each day to your feeds, making it almost impossible to continue without implementing a system that blocks a reader to from getting the feed more than twice a day! It's both frustrating for you, and your readers.
Wait, we have the solution! With RSScache, it doesn't matter if the reader checks your feed every 30 minutes (or even every 5 mins!). Since our caching system only sends what the reader has never seen before, you can be sure you start cutting down your bandwidth usage the minute you install our system.
But how can you keep control over your feeds while cutting down the bandwidth costs? Very simple: install our technology right on your own server!
Since we developed RSScache using the .Net Framework, you can easily install it on any Windows IIS servers! We even support a wide range of database providers, like Microsoft Access for the small sites and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 for sites with high traffic. You can even split the load over some servers, making our system highly scalable on heavy load.

How installation works?
The RSScache system is in three parts:
Web Page : it's the web page that gets the feed URL to cache. It's the page your readers access; Web Service : implements all logics of RSScache and accesses the underlying database through a plugin system allowing you to switch from one database provider to another; Database : all requests are stored in databases for efficient response time. We currently support Microsoft Access 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
To correctly answer your needs, you can choose how each part is installed on your server. Select your solution based on your current traffic.
Low traffic:
If you have low traffic on your feeds, you can install everything on your current Web server, and use the Microsoft Access database. Although our tests showed that you can have up to 30 simultaneous connections to your feeds per seconds, we recommend this for enterprises that can't afford buying a Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 server. Installation is straight forward: you install the Web Page, the Web Service and the Microsoft Access database on your server, and you're ready to start using RSScache!
High traffic:
If you have hundreds of simultaneous connections to your feeds per seconds, using a Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 database is probably your best choice. Installing RSScache usually consist of installing the Web Page on your Web server, installing the Web Service on either your Web server or your database server and setting up the RSScache database in SQL Server. Choosing to install the Web Service on either the Web server, the database server or even on a third server is a question of scalability. For the extremely heavy load, you can split the work of RSScache system on three servers!
