7-7-7
July 8th, 2007 by Carl Thomas. Can I be honest? I don’t really buy into the prophetic significance of dates. I just don’t. I don’t see it in scripture and when I look back at history, I don’t see it either.
Surely everyone who reads this blog knows about The Call in Nashville. It was staged on the 7th along with about a billion weddings. I actually did a wedding that morning. I was almost hoarse from camp and was tired beyond words but a brother has to pay bills.
I was trying to watch it on God.tv but the stream failed.
This morning I wanted to see if there was any news about it and all I could find was news about the Live Earth concert.
Does anyone find it a little coincidental that both a stadium event trumpeting the “Live Earth” was staged on the same day as a prophetic intercession stadium event?

Hmmm I see someone else has the ‘gift of sarcasm’. It is a rare gift but right up there with the bigguns I reckon.
Yeah,I don’t get the whole 7-7-7 thing either. My birthday was on 07-07-07 so maybe it was significant and I just don’t see it yet. Of course, I was born on 7-7-72 so maybe I am significant and I just don’t see it yet.
The Call is a good idea but do we really need another bumper-sticker slogan factory masquerading as ministry to get revival in America again?
For me, I don’t think so.
So the event in a Nashville stadium went unnoticed by the media. Oh well, I don’t think they were trying to get the media’s attention or at least I hope not. Hopefully they got the attention of the one they were praying to. After all the media won’t be sending the revival will they ??
Carl, I’m with you on the date. If you check out the dates for the next ‘TheCall’ that are scheduled in other cities there doesn’t seem to be any attempt to come up with some kind of special date. The next one is in Las Vegas Nev. 9-01-07.
Also, it was not suppose to be some grand TV event but geared toward bringing change in the lives of those who actually attend.
I’m glad you made it back from the outing with the “cadre of youth,” no worse for the wear than a horse voice. I don’t get the import of these dates either, or any other of these gimmicks we use for that matter. When are we just going to let God be God, and stop trying to hype everything? Noise and hype don’t “attract the Spirit” and are certainly no substitute for Him.
Don’t get me wrong. I think the call is a good thing overall. Those who read this blog know my weariness of much of what we see in the prophetic movement.
I watched one part of the call when people were making prophetic pronouncements. I am not sure how much of that was God and how much was presumption.
I am just being honest.
Nonetheless, getting people together to pray and fast can only be good.
What I think what have been awesome if those 100,000 or so Christians would have hit the streets and ministered Jesus!! Now that would of had an impact!!
We have had enough pep-rallies and conferences..We need to start making an impact in the community by “Going Out” where the sinners are reaching them with the love of Jesus!
