New home sales surprise
Jul. 25 - Better than expected new home sales report comes a day before the US Senate is expected to pass housing rescue bill.
The Dow gained 21.41 to 11,370.69. The S&P 500 rose 5.22 to 1257.76. The Nasdaq added 30.42 to 2310.53. Sasha Salama reports from New York.
