Jul 25 - Britain's PM Gordon Brown and his ruling Labour party suffer a by-electoral blow in Glasgow East, a traditional Labour stronghold seat in Scotland.
The pro-independence Scottish National Party (SNP) won the by-election by a slim 365-vote margin.
The governing party won the seat in Britain's third-largest city three years ago with a huge 13,500 majority.
Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
