The earliest memory she has of her origin is a long, long trip over windswept, barren lands to the city of Cherak, the city that would become her home. Her parents had brought her there at the age of 5 or so and for reasons unknown. Soon after their arrival and mere days after they had installed themselves in the city a tragedy struck her family. Her memories of the event are extremely blurred and all she remembers clearly is the blood and her parents’ faces, masks of pain painted across their lifeless features. The murderer, through some miraculous oversight, missed her, where she was hiding under the small kitchen table.

The Maid RPG. Freaky.
The premise is that the GM plays the master of a mansion of some kind, and the PCs are all his maids. It’s a wacky comedy game that can at times get disturbing if you let it.
Though I do like the PCs…
Tsunee Hatakeyama (16), a normal girl with glasses and freckles who was never sure why she was there in the first place. Harane Oka (22), a violent, mature woman who was there to wreak some kind of revenge on the aliens through the governor’s son. Hiroko Koyami (21), a relatively normal maid sent by the government to infiltrate the mansion. Melinda Parks (15), a psychopath with a giant katana that she used for just about everything. Lilly Marlow (139/looks 16), a vampire girl with a whip who wants revenge, but mostly just wants to cause trouble.
So does it sound like our type of game?
In practice, the game was sort of an anime/maid fetish version of Toon; it has lots of random tables, characters can’t die (they get Stress Explosions though), and things are generally random. One of the more brilliant things is that characters can spend points to invoke a Random Event, which is why during the game a fire broke out in the kitchen, Princess Anastasia showed up through a breach in the space-time continuum, and Lily found an arcane tome that opened up a gate to the Netherworld.

I was an orphan, a street urchin like so many in the big cities. I managed to get some work as a deck hand on one of the ships in the harbour. I worked hard and managed to work my way up through the ranks till i made first mate at the age of 20 and captain some years later. At the age of 28 i had amased a small fortune by scrimping and saving and using my feel for the market to get great returns. It was then that a great opportunity presented itself, the owner of the trading company wished to retire. I took out some loans and combined with my savings bought him out. The first few years were tough, very tough. The company had been run poorly and as well as my own debts i had to worry about the trading companies outstanding debts. My fleet originally contained 4 vessels but alas one met an ill fate. I was captaining the ship when it was attacked by pirates. We faught them but they proved too much. My crew was captured, no doubt to be put into slavery, i who had been grivously wounded in the fight was left for dead and the ship set alight. I managed to drag myself into the ocean and onto some wreckage and lay there adrift for several days. It was then in the searing heat of the sun that i became exalted. I floated there for several days marveling at creation as i had never seen it before and was eventually washed up on the shores of the inner sea from wence i made my way back to Kirigast and my destiny!

As the next manse lay in the middle of a shadowland we decided timing was crucial. We would enter at dawn, get what had to be done done and leave before nightfall. We landed on the island with no trouble, there were quiet a few undead around but they seemed to be randomly wandering about with no purpose.

After the party at Hannacks there was a lot of fallout. Some of his men sacrificed themselves as the anaethema that were saught and the wyld hunt declared Kirighast purged. With dramatic events out of the way and some manses to activate it was decided a bit of downtime was in order. Before departing for the open seas the circle decided to clear up some loose ends and catch up on long overdue projects.

The large heartstone is provides the main power for the ship and allows the ship to submerge for several hours, this allows grants those on board the ability to breath underwater. Each of the other heartstones are bound to a caste. When the heartstone for the relavant caste is in place and they take the helm the ship alters itself to a configuration more suited to that caste (detailed below).
