Dear Propaganda Press,
I am a British journalist working on a feature piece for Seven Magazine (http://www.sevenglobal.org/) about the recent Transparency International report placing Guyana as the Western Hemisphere’s second most corrput country.

I am especially interested in the role that Guyanese bloggers like yourself have to play in combating corruption in the country, and I was hoping I could ask you some questions about this, so that I may quote your responses in my article.

Colombian dentist Dr. Antonio Vargas wants to sue Joey Jagan

with one comment

Joey seems to be a serial exploiter and a long violent streak. and this from a man who wants to be president of Guyana! we’ve had enough of your mother and father joey, please leave us alone. walk across the street from your house and chill out with the Brazillian strippers.

Dear Editor,
I’d like to congratulate the Guyana High Court in relation to its decision on Colombian dentist, Ruben Mercado Navas! It is with great pleasure that I see justice done! I am the ‘friend’ in Joey Jagan’s employ who recommended Dr. Ruben Mercado Navas to be employed by him. I was fired by Dr. Jagan in September 2003, because I refused to do a dental procedure on a patient who in my estimation required a specialist, not a General Practitioner.

Ohio shooting puts face on foreclosure crisis
By THOMAS J. SHEERAN, Associated Press Writer
By the time deputies came to escort Addie Polk out of her home of 38 years, the 90-year-old had taken out her life insurance policy and placed it next to her pocketbook and keys in the neatly kept house.

She shot herself in the chest Oct. 1 before she could be taken away from the foreclosed house, which was worth less than its mortgage from the day she took out the loan. [this is how the plunderers of humanity operate] Read the rest of this entry »

Venezuelanalysis: 1) When a coup deposed Chavez for 2 days in 2002, why did HRW’s public statements fail to do obvious things like denounce the coup, call on other countries not to recognize the regime, invoke the OAS charter, and (especially since HRW is based in Washington) call for an investigation of US involvement?

Nhial Bol arrested in South Sudan

without comments

Nhial Bol, editor of The Citizen, said police arrested him on Friday morning for a story printed October 7, which lay corruption accusations against the ministry of legal affairs and constitutional development in southern Sudan.
“This should be a civil case, but I have been told I will be held for three days without bail,” Bol told AFP by telephone from inside a police station in the southern capital, Juba.
“We have verified the facts of the story, but any action — if they want to challenge it — should be taken against me through the use of the courts, not by taking me to jail.”
