[image]Initially T-Mobile UK announced through its Twitter feed, that the HTC Hero was supposed to be called G1Touch. However, today T-Mobile UK tweeted that the HTC Hero isn't called G1Touch any longer but it will go on sale later this summer as the T-Mobile G2 Touch.
This leaves either room for another Android smartphone which might be called G1Touch or T-Mobile was a little bit to fast when it announced that the HTC Hero will be called G1Touch.
In any case, the good news is, that the HTC Hero is confirmed for T-Mobile UK (other European sister companies haven't announced anything yet) but T-Mobile US also confirmed that the HTC Hero will not make it to T-Mobile's North American network. Americans have to live with the HTC Magic which is on sale now as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G.

Furthermore it's quite interesting how all the latest OS and GUI developments supports Web 2.0 services like Facebook and Twitter:
