PlaintxtBlog is perhaps the original minimalist theme for WordPress. Its light sidebars and uncluttered layout make it ideal for customizing.

PlaintxtBlog is fully compatible with WordPress 2.5.x (legacy WordPress 2.0.x users may download PlaintxtBlog v3.1) and features:

Installing the theme files

The theme is installed just like any other WordPress theme. You can read more detailed installation instructions on the WordPress Codex.

If you are upgrading from an older version, first reset the theme options in the plaintxtBlog Options submenu. Then delete all the plaintxtBlog theme files and folders before uploading the new version.

To install the theme:

Extract the /plaintxtblog/ folder from the archive Upload this folder to the /wp-contents/themes/ directory Activate the theme in the Design dashboard menu After activating, visit the in Design › Theme Options Enjoy. And then consider donating.

Development and Subversion

If something isn’t working correctly with this theme, please visit plaintxtBlog on Google Code to file issues, report problems, help create documentation, etc., because the more everyone shares, the better things can be.

You can also access the plaintxtBlog Subversion repo, which hosts pre-release fixes and allows changes to be tracked. If you would like to directly assist in the development of plaintxtBlog and are familiar with Subversion, just let me know.
