Every Wednesday, young people of Student Impact, the youth ministry of Phoenix First, meet in the Youth Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. for a night of excitement, music, worship, challenge and interaction. Wednesday “fuel†is a youth experience unlike any in the entire Valley. Every week is powerful, starting with the amazing youth worship band and moving into a relevant, exciting teaching that is sure to affect all who attend. The night ends with students breaking into “fuel†life groups where young people connect with the Word and with each other. The night is filled with lights, atmosphere, video and other media to make it a youth experience that can’t be missed. Special guests, rally nights and concerts are also thrown in as just one more reason to make Wednesday “fuel†part of your weekly schedule.
Nothing compares to Sunday at Phoenix First for young people. It all starts with IGINTION -â€a whole new way of doing church†where our Jr High and High school groups meet in the Youth Pavilion at 10:45 a.m. for worship an fun before breaking into their own high octane meetings. Sunday is designed to reach students at their point of need and uses all available tools to do so. Music, drama, dynamic messages and student involvement of all kinds, help make Sunday morning a life changing experience.
It doesn’t stop there. Sunday AfterDark, touted by Phoenix magazine as one of the 20 places to be in the Valley after the sun goes down, has evolved into a full-blown youth happening. Students and young adults alike invade the sanctuary for a night unequalled anywhere in the nation. The worship, the charged atmosphere, the state of the art light shows and media presentations, not to mention the “in your grill†challenge from Pastor Barnett and world renowned guests, make this night a must for all young people.
The Student Impact ministry groups meet on Sunday at 9:00 am.
The meetings are only the “tip of the iceberg†of all that is available to Students who are part of Student Impact. Monthly events and youth conferences, exciting trips, retreats and camps. The Fine Arts program is known nationwide as one of the foremost places to train students in all of the areas of ministry arts. The world class drama and music departments of Phoenix First lead the way in commitment to help our students cultivate their talents and use them for the glory of God.
It is easy to see that young people are the most valued treasure at PFA, and we will continue to do all that is necessary to insure that our students have a place where they can grow in “wisdom and stature and favor with God and man†(Luke 2:52).
