Congratulations to the Boys U12 Soaring Eagles Champions of the George Pratt Memorial Soccer Tournament Explorer Bracket.  The team finished the weekend with 3 wins and one draw - beating the Cohansey Crossfire in the final 3-0.

The Peninsula Soccer Club would like to congratulate three players who made the initial pool for the New Jersey Olympic Development Program - Chris Tierney ‘95 (PSC Lightning Eagles BU14), Petey Martin ‘96 (PSC Warrior Eagles BU14), Kevin Reilly ‘96 (PSC Warrior Eagles  BU14).  Congratulations to these players and all of the Peninsula players that tried out this year.

The NJ ODP program is used to identify players for the state, regional and national teams.  The program is a multi-step process that begins at the state level and continues to regional and national pools and teams.

The next Peninsula Soccer Club meeting will be held on Monday, September 28th at 7:30 pm at the Little Silver Boro Hall.

Save the date - Friday, September 25th!  The Peninsula Soccer Club will be having a Fall Season  Kick-off Beach Party at Dononvan’s Reef in Sea Bright.

On Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30 pm a gathering will be held at McLoone’s Rum Runner in Sea Bright to raise funds for the Viscomis so that they might be able to arrange for professional health aides to assist with Lucas.  The suggested donation is $50.00 at the door and there will be some refreshments, live music, and possibly some auctions along with a cash bar.

If you are unable to attend the event but would like to contribute,  donation checks can be made out to Friends of Lucas Viscomi and mailed to 63 Silverton Ave, Little Silver.

The deadline for registration for the Fall 2009 MOSA season is July 8th.  Please fill out team registration forms and deliver to Kevin Brennan prior to 7/8th.  Forms are available on the MOSA website ( www.mosa.net ), click on “All Forms” tab and then open the “Team Registration” tab.
