Alix Delva Update
In June Trinity Church and Peacemakers committed to help Alix Delva receive the medical care and extensive surgery necessary to restore his face to its original state. Massive tumors now cover his face limiting his eyesight and ability to eat.The most recent update is that doctors now say that if Alix does not receive immediate surgery his life will be threatened by the tumors.
Trinity Church has been paying for the housing and care of Alix for the past 3 months. Doctor Gomez has agreed to perform the surgeries free of charge but the hospital has informed us that the cost of care and recovery during the process will be 33,000 dollars. This is a huge step of faith for Peacemakers because the funds have not been given to cover this great cost.
