All strong families are created on the foundation of healthy family relationships. The quality of family relationships, along with the sequencing of major life events--getting an education, getting married, then having children--greatly increases the opportunities for a successful future.  Our Healthy Relationship classes for youth and adults are designed to strengthen family relationships. The most important family relationship is the marriage relationship.

Healthy marriages are important to the well-being of adults, children, and society.  On average, men and women in healthy marriages live longer, healthier, and happier lives. They are also less likely to experience poverty than their single or cohabiting peers. In addition, communities with higher proportions of healthy marriages are generally safer and experience fewer social problems than those communities with lower rates of healthy marriages.

Research indicates that what separates stable and healthy marriages from unstable and unhealthy ones is not the frequency of conflict, but how couples manage conflict.

In October 2006, Trinity Church was awarded a Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This five (5) year program provides healthy marriage and family strengthening training to youth and their families in both Miami Dade and Broward Counties. In our Strong Families Healthy Marriage Initiative, we are utilizing the "Keys to a Healthy Marriage" Curriculum--A faith focused curriculum approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The curriculum teaches problem solving and communication skills to singles and couples to increase the likelihood that they will form and sustain healthy marriages.

The classes are taught three days per week:
SUNDAY 10:30am - 11:30am
WEDNESDAY 6pm - 7pm
SATURDAY 10am - 11am
