americorps2.jpgImagine 1000 people from all over the state of Florida in one place at one time for one purpose-they believe in serving their communities. On May 17-18, Trinity Church AmeriCorps members were apart of the 1000 strong who met together in Miami for a statewide AmeriCorps conference hosted by Volunteer Florida, The Governors Commission on Volunteerism.
 
Help Haiti Trip with Rev. Jesse Jackson PDF Print E-mail
rich_jessejackson.jpgLast Sunday, Trinity was privileged to host Rev. Jesse Jackson and his message of hope for Haiti.  Rev. Jackson's visit came just one week after he extend a personal invitation to Pastor Rich to work with him towards achieving a solution to the Haitian food crisis.  Pastor Rich and a small team of Trinity's own accompanied Rev. Jackson to Haiti from Sunday to Tuesday.

During our visit we encountered firsthand the devastating conditions the people of Haiti are subjected to every day.  Rev. Jackson lead us on a mission to see President Renee Preval who expressed great distress at Haiti's overwhelming famine, lack of self-sufficiency, and the desperate measures Haitians are taking to survive.  We wanted to know how to help; he said they could use anything ... any help we could provide. 
 
South Florida Workforce Choses Trinity PDF Print E-mail
mobile_unit.jpgSouth Florida Workforce recently chose Trinity Church's North Campus as a destination site for their Mobile Workforce Assistance Center.  This mobile unit will provide job and career services and will serve as one more way Peacemakers' clients can move toward self sufficiency
