The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians." (from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Faces of Intolerance: Howard Fieldstead Ahmanson, Jr

by: davidhart

Wed Jul 23, 2008 at 12:08:12 PM EDT

Howard Ahmanson's most remarkable achievement in life was to be born well. He is the heir to his father's Home Savings Bank fortune.Howard Ahmanson is also  bigot. Through Ahmanson's private holding company, Fieldstead and Company (AKA the Fieldstead Institute), Howard Ahmanson has donated $800,000 in support of Proposition-8. Howard Ahmanson and supporters of Proposition 8 want to ban same-sex marriage in California.

Ahmanson has been a big wheel in CA Republican politics (0.00 / 0)
and national Republican politics, donates millions of dollars per cycle, has funded pundits, preachers. He supported (was the main funder of) the Christian Reconstructionist movement for a while - the movement calling for capital punishment by stoning of gays, adulterous women, rebellious children, in its effort to replace the American Constitution with its interpretation of Mosaic Law (probably leaving shellfish, pork ,poly-cotton fabric, and mules out of the treyf/forbidden items). The stoning bit got too much publicity, and Ahmanson moved on to try to "reform" the mainstream churches, Episcopal, United Methodist, Presbyterian (the main branch), Evangelical Lutheran. His wife belongs to one of the breakaway churches formerly known as Episcopal.

PS. "Institute for Religion and Democracy" (IRD) (0.00 / 0)
is an Ahmanson-funded "think tank" that produces materials and websites used by right wing members of churches to undermine congregational loyalty to the denomination or to try to take over the national organization of the denomination, depending on the polity of the denomination. The general notion of the IRD is that churches should not advocate social change, and should support patriarchal family and unregulated market capitalism. Of interest, most of the board members of this supposedly Protestant think-tank are right wing Catholic. One of the best sites detailing IRD is

www.talk2action.org  (search "IRD" or look in left column)
