Director, Online Program, College of Arts & Sciences, University of OklahomaÂ
Major responsibilities: Manages office which provides consulting, technical support and training to faculty related to instructional design of online courses and applicable software solutions. Responsible for design, delivery and evaluation of courses, workshops and related activities. Supervises instructional designers and support staff. Performs related duties as assigned. Reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.Â
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology or design OR an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience. At least 24 months experience in teaching, designing instructional activities and related work. Knowledge of best practices in online teaching and teaching pedagogy. Skill in oral and written communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet use.Â
Additional preferences: Master’s degree in education, educational technology or instructional design. At least 36 months experience teaching, designing instructional activities, and/or using instructional technologies. Experience in design, development and delivery of online courses or workshops. Advanced computing skills, including web site development and course management system experience. Supervisory and/or management experience. Experience in higher education environment.Â
Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000
