Tour De France Rides Out Doping Scandal
Weekend Edition Saturday, July 5, 2008 · The Tour de France gets under way Saturday in Brest, France. The sport, haunted by a doping controversy over the past several years, hopes that new faces and new regulations this time around will go a long way toward healing its image.
Andrew Hood, who's covering the first stage of the race for VeloNews, tells Linda Werthheimer that within five years there may be more top Americans on the tour.
