There are some cool effects on the text, however I wouldn’t call these typographic posters. This is more letter art than typography. Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but effects generally aren’t welcome in the field of typography. It’s more of a dedication to the beauty and discipline of letter forms as they are. I would put these more under graphic art than type related.
I would say #14 is the closest to typographic. Although there are reflections and such, you get a nice close up of the main bodies of the letters where you can see the serif details and other nice curves.
Either way, some cool stuff.

You are so right about having patience regarding that grass effect. That tut took me 5 days. But the result and the tips I picked up were more than worth it.
