Write, test and debug service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications using XML, BPEL, and Java web services.

Web Services

Add a Java EE project that implements web service server or client interfaces to a composite application as a Java Business Integration (JBI) Service Unit. A NetBeans Java EE project can communicate with other service units directly using the internal JBI Normalized Message Router (NMR). The NetBeans IDE supports web services with File, HTTP, and JMS binding components.

SOA web services

BPEL Designer

Develop and maintain SOA applications with the IDE's BPEL-based web service orchestration features. The BPEL runtime engine is integrated with the GlassFish application server. The BPEL Designer is integrated with an enhanced BPEL Debugger, which provides a highly visual representation of the debugging workflow.

XSLT Designer

Create, deploy, and test XSL transformation services with the graphical XSLT Designer. With the XSLT Designer, you can visually create and edit XSL stylesheets, deploy XSLT Module projects to the XSLT service engine, and test XSL transformation services.

Composite Application Service Assembly Editor

The Composite Application Service Assembly Editor allows you to interactively modify the application's deployment configuration. Add and/or modify bindings and service endpoints, add/remove connections between Service Units to connect to endpoints of external Service Units, and create Binding Component-to-Binding Component connections.
