NEFA Senior Investigator Doug Farah served on a "distinguished international panel of judges" to select the finalists for the first Daniel Pearl Award for Outstanding International Investigative Reporting. NEFA Senior Investigator Evan Kohlmann testified as an expert witness in the trial of Belal Saadallah Khazaal in New South Wales (Australia) Supreme Court.
