Search by nucleotide sequence similarityBecause 3D structure is strongly conserved in molecular evolution, one can often make valid inferences concerning structure and function by examining the structures of related sequences. To find a structure for a sequence, you must first find a protein or related protein for the sequence:
If all else fails, try using blastx against the pdb database.
