Sending email to Bram
Unfortunately, the amount of spam, bounces and other annoying messages has been growing steadily. I keep tuning my filter, making sure that no relevant messages are deleted. But this is getting more difficult all the time. I currently get over 10.000 messages a day, most of them end up in the trash can. My provider started complaining...
If you think your message was accidentally caught by my email filter, make sure you send it to
. This has the highest chance of getting through.
NLUUG award
I was happy to get this award for my work on Vim and open source in general. The NLUUG is the Dutch Unix user group, they recently celebrated their 25th birthday. Other people who previously received the award are Guido van Rossum and Piet Beertema. So I'm in good company :-).
The award was handed out at the NLUUG spring conference. Gijs Hillenius interviewed me, which resulted in this article in the dutch newspaper AG: 'Weinig aandacht voor open source in Nederland`

Interview
Czech people apparently like to interview me. A recent one can be found in the online magazine Linuxsoft.cz:
in English and
in Czech
Another interview was published in the Czech magazine LinuxEXPRES.
You can find the original Czech version here (screendumps) and here (PDF).

The Vim books
It took more than a year of writing, reviewing and making corrections to produce the first book on Vim. It starts with the basics, with lots of pictures and examples. Gradually it turns to the heavy stuff.
I have set up an unofficial list of errata for the book
here.
Additionally, there now is a small book "Vim GE-PACKT" in German.
