Located in the trendy area of Jack London Square, Mono Restaurant exemplifies California cuisine - fresh, simple, and approachable food.
Executive Chef Todd Wilson's menu is a lesson in 'best of the market' seasonal produce and sustainably raised, organic meat and fish with straightforward presentations. His dishes highlight the bounty of California with flavors and inspiration drawn from around the world. You may detect Asian influences in the crudo dishes, or Spanish inspiration in some main entrees, and an eclectic cheese list to round things out.
Mono Restaurant is a comfortable, neighborhood restaurant with delicious food, a well-rounded and complementary wine list and palate pleasing desserts. The 100-bottle list is comprised of boutique wines that are both food-friendly and comprehensive. The classics make a strong appearance (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon) as do some less mainstream varietals. There is a special focus given to half bottles as well as artisanal sakes. Stop on in for lunch or dinner (or both!) and some neighborly hospitality.
