Those extra two FAR items disappeared. Are they back now?

I couldn't print the Dimetapp coupons. (It said my request could not be processed.) I assume it's because I printed some a few weeks ago. I used an alternate e-mail address and then it popped up.

I've heard from HCW that the Chemistry is back on rebates too...I might try it...might not!

At all of our local Walgreens stores the registers have been reprogrammed NOT to allow any overage at all - not from manufacturer's coupons or from the Walgreens coupons. If there is an overage the register will lock up and beep and tell the cashier item not found or another error. The cashiers have all been instructed not to take anything that the register won't allow. It no longer matters what order the coupons are presented to the cashier - the register will not allow any overage. I don't know if we are in a test market or if this is happening elsewhere - we are in Colorado. This just happened in the last week after the stores did their inventories.

I just had a comment about the Lypsyl - if someone previously mentioned it, I apologize for the redundancy.

My rebate is showing as $3.29 for one (which is the price I paid). It is not listed as a rebate when you enter the receipt but when Walgreens processed my receipts and sent me an email, they self-added the Lypsyl at $3.29 and Nivea Body wash at $4.99. Yay!

Thank you all for your wonderful deals - I have gotten SO MUCH free stuff that I actually have to share it with others lest I need to purchase a larger home. :)

Gina

In the 10/5 Red Plum, there is a $2 off any Loreal skincare product, redeemable only at Walgreen's. That makes the free after rebate cleanser cream or gel a good moneymaker! :)

I purchased the Nivea men's body wash (used 1.00 off any Nivea body product from bricks.com), there wasn't a spot on the rebate form to select, but submitted the receipt online for review because I had some other rebate items. When I received the authorization via e-mail, the system had grabbed the Nivea and added it to my rebate.

I am having a hard time finding the Lindt coupon. Could you tell me which insert was it in?

I was just going to add that the 2 "extra" items were not on my list when I added my receipt. I had planned on calling them. Well, a few days ago I got an e-mail showing what had been processed and they WERE both on there! I didn't have to do a thing. Maybe they just took it off so it would be sort of an "unadvertised" deal. I think it's safe to buy them!! :)

Thanks for posting this so quickly. I wasn't blown away by the ad this week and I was glad to have confirmation this week that there is nothing I have to 'run to Walgreens' for this week. I have stocked up so much in the past two months that I have no more room! Thanks so much for your site.

I dont have any small children at home so I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for all the dimeatapp and robitussin that I have stocked up on. Donation wise.

Thanks for your help!

Just a note... you have to get the 3.5 oz Lindt bars or it won't take the $ off!

I have a quick question regarding the RR from Walgreens... i m a newbie to the whole thing, now in this weeks ad, i was wondering about the food deal with the Bertolli and Hellmanns Mayo . Do i have to reach 15 Dollars before or after my Manufacturers Coupons to receive my RR?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know what inserts you are talking about with the Lindt choclate. Do you mean the weekly ad?

The Chemistry rebate is being repeated also, and here is what I got credit for on my October rebate even though the items weren't on the checklist:
45 NIVEA FOR MEN $4.99
46 LypSyl LypMoisturizer $2.99
47 LOreal RivitaLift $16.49

Petra to answer your question it is $15 before coupons. Kelly donate the Dimetapp to a food pantry (most have healthcare items also) or to a woman's shelter.

The Lindt chocolate bars were on sale for $2 at my store so they are free by just using the B1G1 Q & the IVC $1 Q. If your store allows it, you can get a .75 overage by also using the .75 Lindt Q with the IVC & B1G1 Qs.

The Lindt coupon isn't available in all regions. It's not in my inserts, and the Coupon Mom database doesn't list it in my state ... :(

For donations of the cold medicine, remember that this medicine is for adults unless you're buying the one specifically for children. It's a good item to donate to the women's shelters and homeless shelters. Also, foster families could always use help. Besides that, I know that the food bank takes donations of cold medicine as well.

Petra, unless the deal says otherwise, your total of $15 has to be reached before coupons. The only time I've seen Walgreens require a total after all coupons is when they put out the $5/$20 or the $10/$40 coupons.

I had a problem at a WAGS store yesterday trying to use a RR along with any others coupons in a transaction. However, today with a different cashier (my favorite one), I was able to use all the coupons I wanted and roll my Dimetap RR into that transaction.

My TN Kroger still has the baby oil priced at $1.89 each, which is still a slight money-maker. Buddies are still working. Kandoo wipes are on sale for $1.99, plus a doubled 50 cent coupon makes them 99 cents! The biggest deal of all is the display and sign they have on Energizer batteries by the checkouts. $3.53 Energizers are on sale for $2.00 each, plus each has an instant $1.00 coupon attached, making them A DOLLAR A PACK! Yay! They had four packs of AA and AAA. Double packs of C and D. Single packs of 9V.

Kelly,

The pharmacist said Dimetapp is fine for adults. You take 4tsp instead of 2 tsp each time.

I was just wanting some tips from the serious Walgreens gals on their favorite "filler" items...thanks to you I have figured out how to get "overage" but hate to spend a lot on something else to get the overage. I need small filler items...my last one was a mask my son will decorate like a superhero for .69.

this might be a dumb question but I'm new to all this so I'm trying to figure it all out! :) I'm gong to try Walgreens for the first time this week and was wondering how you can use 3 of the Dimetapp coupons when it says on the coupon that you can only use one per purchase?
Thanks!

Hi, I am also new to WAGS and have been having problems every single time I go in to one to use my manufacturers qs and RRs. I finally figured out that the number of coupons cannot exceed the number of purchased items. This includes RR since they are considered manufacturers qs in their system. So, I went today and bought a filler item for my RR since I had qs for every other item. The RR beeped and they would not let me use it. They had no clue (like always) why it wouldn't work. Please help. I ended up putting everything back, but I'd really like to figure out what I'm doing wrong because I have 20 more RRs. Here is what I was trying to purchase.

Arm and Hammer $1.99 ($1 printable q)
4 Bonne Bell Lipsmackers party pack $8.99 (2 $1/2 mq)
40% off
Similac formula (clearance for $3.19) no qs

My total was 23.00 after all qs, when I went to use my $4.50 RR, it beeped!

Please help me understand what I did wrong and how RR really work. I think I have it figured out and then I have issues. Thank you so much!

WAGS newbie

The Diametapp coupon actually says "One coupon per purchase". Will I have trouble using 3 of them to get the RR deal at walgreens?

The coupon for the Dimetapp says "limit one per purchase". What do you think this means? I did this deal a few times last month but by the end of the week the cashiers refused to use more than one coupon per transaction noting the limit one phrase on the coupon. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I always use the Walgreens purse sized tissues as a filler for $0.29. And right now I think they have Halloween pencils for 8/$1 that make a good filler.

For those of you asking about the Dimetapp coupons which say "one per purchase", here's the scoop:

Almost every coupon in existence has legalese on it which says, "One coupon per purchase." While on occasion you might get a cashier who tells you otherwise, what this means is: you can only use one manufacturer's coupon PER ITEM purchased. So if you have three items, you can only use three manufacturer's coupons for those three items. This is a universal rule in coupon usage.

Unless a coupon expressly states on it: "One coupon per TRANSACTION", you should have no problem at all using more than one coupon in a transaction with more than one item--such as in the case of the Dimetapp scenario.

Hope that helps!

I have had trouble with Wags cashiers on the "one coupon per purchase" line, too. I wonder if there is something in their training that makes them hyper-sensitive to that line. I've never had a grocery cashier stumble over that, but Wags cashiers get messed up almost every time.

"One coupon per purchase" simply means that you can't use a coupon on something you didn't buy, and you can't use two or three manufacturer's coupons on a single item. That is, you can't buy one can of dog food and expect to use three coupons on it. But if you buy three cans, you can use three coupons.

"One coupon per customer" or "one coupon per transaction" mean that you can only use one of those coupons when you check out, no matter how many of the item you bought. If you have extras of that coupon, you can go to another store and use it there, too. We have three Wags stores within easy driving distance of each other, so if I have a good coupon, it is worth making the rounds and using it at each store.

Mr. Linky doesn't like my link. Sorry about posting it twice, but it doesn't like it. Happy moving!

Where do you get the $3 off Robitussin coupon? I only see one for $2 off? Thanks.

I've read several comments about problems with using MC and then the RR won't print out. Some managers seem to think it is because a MC was used, and both aren't allowed. I personally have never had the problem, but it might be helpful to note something in Walgreen's own ad (Oct 12-18). On the last page(24) The Dove ad states that if you buy 4 or more of that product, you will receive $3 RR. Right beside the "25% off" the ad tells the consumer to also look for coupon savings in Sunday's paper. Also in the coupons this week there is a Walgreens advertisement for P & G products. The Always INFINITY part of that ad states:
Sale Price: $4.99
Less P&G brandSAVER coupon -$2.00
Final Cost: $2.99
Then it says:
Save more with Register Rewards: -$1.00
Use like cash on you NEXT WG purchase
Like Paying: $1.99

Looks like Walgreens approves of using your MC and getting RR.

If you are taking your child to the doc soon...

Get 4 Lysol Neutra Air Freshener for Free this week @ Walgreens.

Lysol Neutra Air Freshener twin pack ($6.98 value) is on sale $2.99 (page 8).

Buy (2) twin packs and use B1G1 Free MFQ (SS 10/12).

Pay $2.99 for 4 bottles.

Submit for Lysol MFR Mail in Rebate for $2.99 back.(http://www.lysol.com/pediatricianrewards/)

That's 4 free.

I was just wondering, when you print the Dimetapp coupon how many times are you allowed to print it? My computer is bring up my printer page and asking how many copies to print but it has a security code on the bottom so I thought it would only print one that would be useable.?? I am just wondering how so many are printing so many copies to be able to do multiple transactions?
Also, with the robitussin coupon I have tried to print that $3 coupon many times and I just get a error page, any suggestions?? Thanks!
Oh... also can you use the Kotex RR to pay for the Dimetapp/robitussin deal and then use the RR from the former to run the Kotex deal again?
Thanks!

I was able to use 3 coupons on the 3 Dimetapp and got the $10 RR. I agree w/ the pp's, it is one per item (purchase) - not one per customer or transaction. I paid for them, then used the RR's on the other items I was purchasing.

Hey--I have become such a huge fan of your site, and I can't tell you how much I have saved at Walgreens and CVS. Tonight, I did the Dimetapp deal at Walgreens (twice) and ended up with $20 in RR's. I then put together a whole basket of items that I knew would be just over $20 after coupons (with more items than coupons, of course!). The cashiers at the store told me that I couldn't use more than one RR per transaction. I had never heard of that, and I have actually used more than one before, so I just asked if they would try it. It worked, but they told me that the manager would be upset if he found out. I read the fine print on the RR later, and it actually does say that you can only use one per transaction!! I am really surprised that if their computers are programmed to not accept more coupons than items that they can't also be programmed to only allow one RR. I certainly didn't want these cashiers to get in trouble, and I really wasn't aware of that rule before, so just wanted to pass that along. I guess I'm so used to using more than one Extra Buck reward, I'm just surprised you can't use more than one RR. Anyway, just thought I would share that with you to possibly pass on to other readers. Thank you so much for all of your help!!

********************
Money Saving Mom here: Since Walgreens advertises that RR's can be used like cash, I am guessing they cannot limit how many can be used in an order--provided you have as many items as coupons/RRs since this seems to mess up the register on occasion.

By the way, despite what some stores are saying, it is not true that you cannot use coupons and get an RR--corporate has confirmed this and it is *advertised* in this week's ad and next week's ad saying to use coupons along with the RR deal. Bring your ad along with you if your store mentions this, since it is plainly advertised there.

A lot of times, stores just misunderstand rules that come down from the top, so it's best to check with corporate and have them inform your store. (And be sure to go higher up than customer service when calling--sometimes they don't know either!)

Hope that helps!

I got free Hershey bars at Walgreens last night. Used a Buy 1 Hersheys Milk Choc, Milk Choc w/Almonds or Special Dark bar, Get 1 Special Dark bar free from a few weeks ago. Gave that coupon first, then the in-ad coupon for 39 cent Hershey bars.

I'm having trouble getting this rebate form to print, anyone have more info? It comes to the page where it shows the rebate and says the coupon is waiting, then Please Wait and then nothing happens, I have a blank page.

Zout--on sale B1G1 (2/$3.79)
Use 2 $0.55/1 from 8/10 inserts
Submit for full rebate
Free plus $1.10 in overage

Thx, Shelly

Got a bonus deal when I went to get my WG diapers! Some packages had stickers that said "Get $2 when you buy 2". I bought 4 packages for $5.99, used the $2 pharm q, and 2 of them had the sticker. The cashiers/managers didn't know what to do with it but when she went to void it out and adjust the price, it took off the $2. So I ended up getting 4 pkgs for about $7! (This was only at one of the 2 walgreen's in town).

I didnt see this mentioned above, so sorry if it is a duplicate...

Today i purchased 4 of the renuzit adjustable air fresheners that are on sale b1g1 ($1.79) in the ad.

used the 55c/3 coupon from the 8/10 or 10/05 SS
making them 3.03

and then used the b3 renuzit adj air fresheners and g1 Renuzit Super Odor Neutralizer Air Freshener Spray coupon from the 8/10 insert (I think)
those are on sale for b1g1 at walgreens
so i got two free!

Just wanted to share that since i didnt see it mentioned anywhere else - sorry i didnt get to look through all the other blogs... it may have been mentioned there!

along with those i got :

bought 6 lindt choc bars ( i only had 3 of each coupon) - my cashier used the b1g1 AND the 75c AND the easy saver coupons that gave me 78c overage!

got 3 bounty basic less the 25c manus

2 bonne bell lipsmackers- they rang up as $1.01 at my store :( Not sure why but i didnt realzie it til i left
used the $1/2
they must have rung up as 1.69 instead of 1.59 but the sign said 1.59 each or 2/$3 boo hoo!
oh well... the 42c difference was covered by the overage in the lindt coupons

I then used the 4.50 RR from the oral b that is still going on and paid
1.39!!!
WOOHOO!!!

Hi Crystal,
Thanks so much for all you do for this site! I just wanted to let your readers know that even though the RR prints out and say "Walgreens", at the top it does state that it is a manufacturer's coupon, therefore, it can be used at any store. I have used them at my grocery store without a problem.
Julie

Okay question. About the L'Oreal cleanser gel or cream. I was looking for the $1 coupon for it in the insert & found it, but I also found a coupon that came in the paper for "$2 off any LO Skincare Product Redeemable only at WGs." Does this mean I can combine this coupon with the $1 one? What do you think? It does say manufacturer coupon on it, but it also says only at Walgreens. So I just couldn't decide...
