Kroger (possibly elsewhere?): Johnson's catalina deal
Many of you have been buying 3 Buddies soaps for free using the $3/3 J&J coupon from the 09/14 inserts at Kroger and then getting a $3/3 catalina coupon back which allows you to roll this deal until you've exhausted the supply of Buddies' soaps or run out of space to store them! However, Kim commented about an even better deal on J&J products which I wanted to highlight.
She said that she bought the 4 oz. Johnson's baby oils priced at $1.89 each and used the $3/3 coupon to buy them paying $0.89 each out of pocket. In addition to getting back a $3/3 coupon, she also got back $3 in catalinas! So they were not only free, but a small money-maker after the coupon and catalinas.
Best of all, once you've done this deal once, you could potentially roll it ad infinitum using the $3/3 catalina coupon and the $3 in catalinas to pay for the new bottles and, in turn, receiving another $3/3 catalina coupon and $3 in catalinas back!
Note: Kim has done this successfully at a Kroger store in Tennessee. I can't guarantee that it will work around the country, but my guess is that it likely might. It also could possibly work at other stores as well.
If you're game to try it, let us know what the results are! These baby products make great additions to gift baskets for new moms or would be perfect donations to local women's shelters.

I did this last week and it worked, though I only got a 2.50 /3 coupon back with the $3 oyno so I only did it once

I did the deal in Arizona yesterday and it worked, but the baby oil was $2.49.

The baby oil deal did not work for me at the kroger in Flower Mound, Texas. It just printed out the $3 coupon on other J&J products.

I tried this at Kroger in Atlanta, GA. Another $3/3 coupon printed but no $3 catalina, so it wasn't a money maker. Bummer!

I'm not sure what happened with my Kroger. Last time I bought the Johnson's Buddies, a $3/3 printed out. This time, *nothing* printed out of my catalina machine. I managed to get the three $1 off next purchase ones by pointing out that there was a tag on the shelf saying I was supposed to, but there was no advertisement up for the other offer.
Next time, I shall use a different checkout.

They are also doing this at Food City stores here in Ky. I bought 3 Buddies, and got $3/3 Cat for Johnsons Baby Products. When I tried to use it to buy Buddies again, it wouldnt work. So I guess Id have to do the oil.

sooo even if you didn't have the J&J coupon...
You could buy 3 soaps at about $3 and get back a $3 off 3 catalina and continue to do that over and over?? Is this right??
And with the baby oil---spend 5.67 out of pocket and get back a $3 off 3 catalina and $3 in other catalinas--- earning $6 back---
Is that the case??

Only the baby oil seemed to print the $ off your next order. Other Johnsons products give a $3/3 coupon.

Did this today in Nashville. There's a sign on the shelf for the small bottles of baby oil that if you buy one at $1.89 you'll get $1 good on a future order. So, if you buy 3, you get 3 $1 catalinas and another $3 off 3 J&J products.

worked today in the Mason OH Kroger.
smallest baby oil was $1.99, with a shelf sign saying buy 1 and get a catalina for $1 good through 11-02 or 11-09 ( sorry i forget)
So, i bought 3, used the $3 j&J coupon from an insert and sure enough.... got 3 $1 catalinas and a $3 oyno of 3 j&J products.
:D
I also bought 3 of the buddy soaps with the other $3 off J&J coupon from the insert and got the $3 off 3 J&J coupon too. (I did this in a seperate order though cuz a few weeks ago i bought 6 buddies and only got 1 $3 off catalina) It doesnt show buddies products, but doesnt exclude them either.
hth!

In McKinney, TX it did not work. I tried it three times. The first time I bought the J&J Baby bars of soap, $1.89 each. Only got the $3/3 J&J Catalina. Then, I tried the powder and then the oil, neither one gave $3 Catalina, just $3/3 J&J Catalinas.

I went to my local Kroger in Noblesville Indiana where I normally do the buddies soap deal and keep rolling over the $3/3 coupon. I was excited to hear about the new deal since I am totally stocked on Buddies soaps! ;)
But when I checked out with the 3 4oz baby oils, NOTHING printed out afterward! I was sooooo dissapointed! No J&J coupon to roll over and NO CATALINA! The baby oil was even labled to give 1.00 back with each purchase and THAT didn't even work. So I just went to the customer service desk and she gave me a full refund and took back my baby oils....:( I guess I will go buy 3 more soaps out of pocket so that I can get my 3/3 j&j coupon to work with again...
