The user

The Zeemote JS1 controller is aimed at anyone with an interest in gaming and / or mobile handsets. Whether an avid or casual gamer the user is almost certainly carrying a mobile device. Add-in the JS1 controller the user gains enhanced game play and interactivity.

The avid gamer already plays 10+ hours a week on a console or handheld platform and approx 2+ hours a week mobile gaming. They tend to prefer action/adventure shooters and sports games but occasionally enjoys puzzle games.

The experience

The more you play the more you enjoy the design, interactivity and game play that the Zeemote JS1 controller offers.

The patented Zeemote JS1 controller is the first and only wireless controller for mobile gaming. Small, fast, ergonomic and wireless, the Zeemote controller creates a near console game playing experience with true analogue thumbstick control.

Measuring a snug 95×35x20mm/3.7×1.4×0.8in and weighing only 47g/1.7oz (including batteries), the Zeemote JS1 controller sits perfectly in the hand and is ergonomically designed for optimised comfort. With a thumbstick and four assignable trigger buttons, the JS1 controller offers real analogue control enabling users to truly engage with mobile games.

Quotes from the user groups said;

“Design is perfect, it fits in your hand really well, don’t change it in anyway.†– Daniel 24

“It is quite addictive.†Alex 18

“Very positive. I love the darts.†– Zara 32

“I find it a lot easier to play the games rather than pressing all the buttons on the phone.†– Vanessa 37

Completely transforms game play

TRX Mike Says:

cool, that’s what I have been waiting for! i can leave my bulky psp at home now :-)

Fergus Says:

It makes a real difference to gameplay, especially on a phone like mine with fiddly little keys.

Simon Says:

Awesome gadget! About time mobile gamers could get away from the keypad restrictions.

skeptical Says:

A LOT of things are cool. The questions are:

- Can they execute and get it in channels so people will see it and then will they buy it? Price point?

- Games? Need more games to make it usable… compelling

- Cool, yes, want to carry something else around and buy batteries for? uh, no

Crystal ball says:
-Retail will be a failure if it ever makes it to retail (of any kind). Even making it to retail is doubtful.

-co will cash out by selling some/all of the patents to someone else.

Sarah Says:

Thanks Skeptical.

Zeemote availability to be announced later in the year. But watch this space for great news coming soon.

Eidos, Finblade, Fishlabs, Digital Chocolate, Player X, Gamelion, Jump Games, Player One, Tag Games and SEGA® of America have already adapted popular games such as Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Helistrike 3D and Sonic the Hedgehog to be “Zeemote Ready†and loads more games to come.

Small, neat and compact will take up less room than the handset itself but will bring immense mobile entertainment to casual and expereienced mobile gamers.
