Okla/Tx was a great game.... As a fan, I really enjoyed two very competent teams strutting their stuff.
Stoops will keep them in the chase, so ..enjoy!!!

It was a great game. I love Oklahoma since I moved here in 1982, but I have 2 nieces that graduated from Texas. I'm happy for them today.
How about that Oklahoma vs Texas game!!!! I told you guys those are the best 2 QB's in the nation. But willy I'm sure you already knew that. I think Oklahoma really got screwed with that interception call though. I would love it if the Lions could somehow draft Sam Bradford or Colt McCoy!! We have to have an O-line in place first though.

Its probably a given that McCoy will get drafted by Indianapolis. (His name) Since Bradford has a ford in his name he might be drafted by WCF. Dont discount Chase Daniel.
I've got a question for the a holes that were clowning pit and myself for saying we should pick up Chad Pennington when he was released by the Jets.....WTF DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOUSELF NOW???????????

Thomas was cut by the Lions on Thursday. They added fullback Moran Norris, so it looks like the Lions will have only two true running backs on the roster.

Chase Daniel finaly played a team with a defense and he looked horrible. The Ball State QB with the first pick in the 2nd Rd.is who Lions should look at.
I meaned play the rookies Choen and the other not overpaid DT's.

This was the worst reffed game I have ever seen, The Dizon call, the fumble by CJ, the pass interfernce by bodden. I mean come on these were game changing calls. And I cannot believe they called what they did. I hate when people bitch about the refs but this was clearly a one sided game. I can see these players going back to the locker room saying, it doesn't matter waht we do we can't win a game.
lessons from todays game:
the lions aren't as terrible as they have looked, but they're still not that good.
tim donaghy has connections in the NFL.
jon kitna wasn't the problem on offense.
as always, the lions play to the talent level of their opponents... the only team in the league we can run on is the best run defense in the game.

Agreed. Horrible officiating. I know a good team shouldn't put themselves in a situation to let the game be determined by a couple of bad calls, but come on. Two horrible game-changing calls, and another no call on the Calvin Johnson play in the end zone that was at least very questionable. I was happy to at least see them compete this week. Heart breaker though.
The refs screwed us!!! Also why did Rod pull Kevin Smith after the 1st half??? Refs were a joke and Rod was once again a joke!!!!

Ultimately, Dan 0's safety cost them the game. Lost by those two points.
Ref's didnt help with the bogus fumble call and the botched PA call both on CJ.
Where was Kevin Smith? He rips off a great run and then nothing?
Stanton in Houston next week? I sure hope so!
Trade kINTa, McDonald and Furrey to SF for ANYTHING. We need Roy if CJ is out again.

Don't forget the no call on the pass interference on CJ near the goal. Oh yeah, and the no helmet to helmet call. Oh yeah, and the other ridiculous block in the back call. Oh yeah, and the bad holding call on Manny. I know there was more but my mind is clouded by anger at this moment.

I know it was ridiculous, I was prepared to watch the lions lose today. That way I wasn't throwing everything in the house and breaking the t.v. But this was horrible, I hope the vikings fans feel good for a lopsided win.
of course the lion time-out situation was zero at the end there. why are they always short time-outs when they need them badly.

Thats what happens when you have no respect in the league, even the ref's give you no respects. I guess they figure WCF Sr. is so old and senile that he wont bitch to the league and ask for a review off the offiating.
besides the refs royally screwing us over, dano didnt play great or even good. he played ok. unlike kinta he didnt throw any key interceptions or fumble the ball. he just had that safety. i still stay start stanton. What do u guys think?

Let me stop before I get banned. That was a shame, those guys played well enough as a team to win. The refs have gave the Vikes two games in a row. It goes to show that the league has no respect for us and when in doubt the refs rule against us because it's the Lions and hey, they stink.
What a BS game. My wife said, "How can the Vikings feel good about this win?"
If they are men they can't. They got beat, and got the win handed to them.
Who's paying for instant replay? My god what we're they looking at? A bonus check from the league is the answer. A disgrace in officiating today and that's a damn shame. A fair shake is all you can ask for. Leave it up to the players to determine the outcome, not the refs. I'm sure the league office will issue an apology and we're still winless.

I agree about cj's fumble but bodden made contact before the ball got to the reciever,contact after 5 yards downfield is a penalty.

Shi++y ref job on all accounts. How in the h*ll was CJ's catch a freaking fumble? ON REVIEW EVEN? My grandmother could've made that call.
Pass protection is a confirmed problem again. Defense showed a few breakdown plays, but the D played inspired. Bodden must have read the papers this week. Also, I love the blitz, but for the life of me I can't figure out how how we keep letting WR,TE,FB find that weakside seam between the LB's, S, and weakside CB. It's becoming comical over there. something tells me Lennon's play is involved.

if you call that play on Bodden you have to make that call for the Lions when CJ was running for the ball thrown in the end zone.. there was similar incidental contact on both.. neither deserved a flag.. 2nd and 20 with 2 minutes left in the game, in a 10-9 hard fought game, unfair for the refs to decide the game

You are wrong on the no call against CJ. The safety hit CJ without looking back and impeded his ability to make the catch.
Fetish- that was incidental contact while going for the ball. Their feet got tangled. the ball was thrown just far enough in front of the WR for them to call it. If that was any other team it's a no call.
Click- Joe Montana couldn't have done much better under that kind of pressure (ok, maybe a little better), much less Pennington or DanO. But Dan has happy feet. (He still looked better than Joey in his second season though)
I'm with you guys on Stanton going in, simply because he has wheels. Our o-line is built for somebody who can run for their life.
It will be interesting to see what the NFL says about the games today. Just had to listen to my brother whine about the Bears losing on the last play of the game. He tells me that there was 1 second left on the clock while the ball was in the air, then it was caught and the player pushed out of bounds. It went for replay and the ruled it a catch and the Falcons could kick the field goal.
I could care less about the Bears, but the Ref's are throwing a lot of games or making mistakes this year.
On Dan O. Why was he even throwing in the endzone? Run Rudi, run Smith, run someone, anyone 4 times and punt.
Where was Roy today? Dan O. didnt throw to him at all.
Only positive today was the Defense and at least we arent Raider fans.
I thought the curse would include this year, and be over next year. How do you all feel about Chase Daniels? Is he the real deal?

Here's a thought about my weakside/middle mess.. Can someone please explain how Kleinsasser got a 34 yd reception? Did Sims blow the assignment as the commentators suggested? Did Lennon not read the play correctly and call it incorrectly? Did our safeties miss the read watching BB? This play alone may spell out the Lions problems on big plays in the D.
Gus isn't exactly the best QB ever, but, like all of those before him, he knew the seams in the zone and the Kleinsasser play should be the tape Rod watches over and over again. there's a couple of more plays from today too.
guitarrock....I haven't heard how bad Smiths injury is, i hope it was just a stinger and he'll be back next week. maybe killer will let us know by friday....LOL

Yeah we were right all along about the Pennington idea. Its sad how some people (4:15 post) will find any reason possible to try to doubt us. I won't say his name but one a** clown in peticular will say anything he can to try and sound smart. He proves his ignorance daily.
