We are having a BOY!!!

On Friday we went to the Doctor to get our second sonogram. This one showed us all of the organs as well as the gender. Yes, we are very excited that we will extend the Russell name one more generation by having a baby boy!! The even more exciting news is that the sonogram showed us that the baby is healthy! This has definitely been an incredible journey so far and I have not taken for granted each movement that I have felt from Baby Boy. I thank God everyday that He has blessed us with this wonderful gift of life.
Tomorrow will mark 20 weeks of pregnancy. I can’t believe that we are half-way there. Before you know it, we will be holding our little guy in our arms showing him the love that our parents have shown us. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers during this time.
At the end of the sonogram session, I asked the doctor about the new 3D/4D ultrasound. He switched over for a couple of minutes and showed us what it would look like. It is really incredible. The details are amazing. Unfortunately our baby has not developed enough yet to get the full experience but we plan to go back at 28 weeks to get our baby’s first real pictures. Man!…..yes I am crying too!!!!!!
I’m crying because I’m happy…..but I’m also happy because after 27 years of marriage, as of September I will for the first time be in the majority at the Copeland house!!!!!!
