Thanks to everyone who supported my fundraiser! I can’t wait to try these bad boys out on the track. Apologies for the crappy video quality and hissy audio. All I had with me was my point and shoot.

This is big news, people! Hopefully we are on our way to finding a cure.
Sidenote: The Glumbert video embed is smart - includes the link below the player automatically.

My pals Sarah Szalavitz and Damien Somerset have been working on this show for a while. And it just keeps getting better. The snarky tone is just right for its smarter than average audience and manages to teach even us something. Sarah and Damien are new media powerhouses with a lot up their sleeves. So look out for more from them and their company, 7 Robot.

Camera and editing by Eddie Codel
Welcome back, Charlie. We’ve missed you.

Look! Carrington Steele posted a video response to my blog post about her Church of Oprah Exposed video! I’m honored she took the time to share her thoughts.

The internet is abuzz with news of the new video feature on Flickr. Of course, everyone immediately began to try it out. I’m enjoying the crap out of watching my friends’ short little videos! And that, my friends, is exactly why this will be a huge success for Flickr. I have a ton of funny little videos that I would love to share with my friends but that just don’t fit into The Mickipedia Show. So they never really make it into my blip.tv or my youtube accounts. These videos fit in perfectly with how I use Flickr. I use Flickr every day to share photos with my friends. Sure, other people can see them but Flickr is designed in such a way that the primary conversation happens between people who know each other.
When I first read about the 90 second limit on videos for Flickr, I thought wow, that’s kinda limiting. How can I upload my episodes of The Mickipedia Show? Well, now that I’ve played with it for a few minutes, I know that’s just not what it’s for. The Mickipedia Show doesn’t fit into how I use Flickr with my friends. We check in on each other in little bits throughout the day. Open Flickr and see if anyone has posted anything new. A 90 second video of something silly or that compliments photos from an event? That fits right into my current Flickr experience. A webisode, not so much.
So bravo, Flickr. You’ve managed to make yourself even more useful and you will remain one of the few windows I always have open in my browser.
Now let’s test out the new Flickr video embed (hee hee).

I should probably add to this that if you need your partner to participate in some fake holiday to convince you he/she loves you, you are not in love.
