::This post originally ran on March 23, 2005, back on my old blog. The only reason I found it is that someone did a search on "multi farc dementia", found my old post because of a comment someone left on the bottom, and then emailed me wanting information on multi farc dementia. I have no idea what that is, and I still can't decide if the email was for real or not. But the post is funny, so I thought I'd resurrect it from the blog cemetery since the stat gods saw fit to point it out to me. I'm sure my mother appreciates it.::
partial conversation
I emerged from the bathroom with freshly washed hair and ready to go to bed after taking my bath. As usual, my mother comes around the corner and starts talking to me about something I have no clue on.
"See, I put the pictures here," she said.
"What?" I asked.
"I put the photos in the back, like this."
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
"The book. The photos in the book."
"What book?"
"Here. The photos of Kief."
By this point I was getting exasperated. This always happens. I put a foot in the door after being gone all night, or emerge from my bedroom or whatever, and mom starts talking to me as if we'd been talking for about 10 minutes.
"Mother, I have no idea what you're talking about. You have to remember I'm not privy to the little conversations you have in your head when no one else is around."
She just laughed, and talked some more before walking away.
I still have no idea what she was talking about. Irritating.
Hint for the day: Just because you've been deep in thought doesn't mean the hapless wanderer who stumbles into your field of vision knows what you were thinking about. You simply cannot start talking to them where you left off in your little thought world.
The end.
