There are already 25 million professionals in the LinkedIn Network, and that number is growing fast. What do I get with a free basic account?

LinkedIn offers free personal accounts with robust features, including the ability to:

Build and maintain a trusted professional network of unlimited size Find and reconnect with colleagues and classmates Request and provide recommendations Create a professional presence on the web Request up to 5 Introductions at a time Search for and view profiles of other LinkedIn users
Who can view my profile on LinkedIn? How much information will they see?

LinkedIn users in your network (i.e. within three degrees) can see your name and full profile information. LinkedIn users outside your network can see a limited view of your profile, without your name. Only direct connections can see your email address.

Non-LinkedIn users can see your public profile, which by default displays your name, title, location, and industry. To show more to non-users (or get rid of your public profile altogether), go to the Edit My Public Profile page.
