Seniors are very active at Life Center! Under the name of Prime Timers, seniors get together through many opportunities for fellowship, travel, meals together, and personal visits. These events provide avenues to meet people, develop new friendships, and deepen spiritual growth.
For those who are unable to get out frequently, on-going services are provided at Life Manor's Assisted Living Center. Along with one-on-one interaction with Pastor Royal, Bible studies are held weekly and holy communion every month in both Life Manor's Independent and Assisted Living Center.

The Life Center Seniors under the name of “PRIMETIMERS” have an important role in the various ministries of the Church. You will find them involved in almost every facet of church life, from Door Greeters and Ushers to ministering in Retirement and Nursing Homes. They are also involved in many of the Church’s social and dinner events as well as a host of other volunteer activities too numerous to list. The PRIMETIME SENIORS of Life Center experience a variety of activities and events throughout the year—from day trips to overnight stays to multi-day excursions—not to forget the various dinners, afterglows, gospel sings and a host of other activities and events.

Upcoming Events:

June through September 2 – The PrimeTimers’ Summertime “Afterglows” have begun and will take place the first Sunday of every month in the Commons right after the evening service and continue through September 2.

July 14 – Annual Seniors’ Picnic – Our annual picnic is scheduled for Monday, July 14th at Fort Nisqually beginning at 11:30 a.m. Come and enjoy the “camping out” atmosphere among the tall firs of Point Defiance. This year will feature Home Made Ice Cream cranked on the spot. Last names beginning with A-L bring your favorite Salad or Dessert and M-Z bring your favorite Hot Dish.

July 27 – Old Time Gospel Concert and Sing – This will feature William Harness, one of the most outstanding musical talents in gospel music today will take place in the Life Center sanctuary on July 27 at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Harness has toured the country with many of the most famous talents in the world. You will enjoy his incredible vocal ability which ranges from low bass to high tenor. Pat Robertson has labeled him as an “extraordinarily talented singer whose concerts throughout the nation have lifted thousands to a deeper appreciation of God’s goodness.”

August 22 – Bill Gaither Homecoming Concert – A section in the Tacoma Dome has been reserved for the PrimeTime Seniors and tickets are now available at the Life Center Welcome Desk. The Primetimers have reserved a Bus for this event which will leave the Church at 5:45 PM. Those taking the bus must sign up at the Welcome Desk.

December 27 – Pasadena Rose Parade Trip – Fly away with us to the Pasadena Rose Parade, Crystal Cathedral “Glory of Christmas,” Catalina Island Cruise, and much more. Don’t miss out on this 5-night, 6-day adventure. Get your deposit in as soon as possible to hold your space.
