Missions give people a chance to serve. Jesus preached to people, but some of the most significant lessons that His disciples and the people learned were what they watched Him do. It wasn’t only by what He said.
Missions helps people understand that we are called to serve. It also gives people an appreciation for what we do have compared to others. It helps give us a perspective that God has blessed us incredibly. There are some profound effects – a heart change. When you go on a missions trip, you go to serve, but the reality is you get way more back than you give.
Missions aren’t for everybody – some have different gifts, different ways for different people – but if you haven’t gone, here are some upcoming opportunities. For many it has become a part of the life they are called to live. Maybe you are one of them.
