MyEclipse is proud to announce immediate availability of the popular SNAPs tools to users of IntelliJ IDEA via “Use-Anywhere” connectors.
Developers using IDEA are now able to utilize the MyEclipse Visual HTML Designer, XML Editor, Database Explorer and Image Editor SNAPs directly in their own environment. Soon, additional SNAPs will be made available to IDEA users by incorporating other MyEclipse features, open source technologies and partner extensions.
The SNAPs are part of the expanding Fusion Technology suite of tools that allows developers to accomplish focused tasks without the weight of an entire IDE. They can also be used with other development tools thereby freeing users from the vendor lock-in that is commonly associated with development environments.
“Last week, we provided our agile SNAPs tools to users of NetBeans and Visual Studio. Now, we're proud to deliver productivity enhancements to users of IntelliJ IDEA,” Todd Williams, vice president of technology for Genuitec said.
The MyEclipse “Use-Anywhere” connector for IDEA is avaialable immediately, but does require the All-in-One installation of MyEclipse 5.5M1 Enterprise Workbench, which can be downloaded here.

Let's try to make such connectors for notepad and for photoshop ? «very usefull features».
It is just fake, but not integration. Sorry.

Specially support to frameworks such as Spring,Hibernate and Struts are making development and configuration time to a very minimum.
On board data base /sql tool, ability to plug in other 3rd party tools makes it even better.Comes with support to range of appservers , and deployment makes such an easier task
Only problem I had was to use the use the IDE as a HTML/Java designer.It really didnt work for me.But its the best tool after playing with few other tools.And It is quick too
