So this is it! We are headed to the hospital tonight. They are going to start my pitocin drip at 4 am in the morning. I'm going to miss feeling Caroline's little kicks & having her all to myself...and I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm also going to miss my little basketball. Yet I am so ready to meet our baby!
My mom & dad & brother have been here since Sunday so we have a full house.
Barbie & Paul came home from CO a couple of weeks ago & they have a few other folks coming into town...Barbie's sweet sister Mal from AZ, who will be here on 10/2 & also Ron & Vivienne Gordon from CO who will be coming in on 10/2 as well. We are looking very forward to seeing everyone & we are so glad they will be able to meet Caroline right away.
Thank you to all of our wonderful friends & family who have shown such wonderful support to Jason & I during this special time in our lives. We are truly blessed to have each & every one of you & We love you all.
We will keep everyone posted tomorrow!~
Love,
Beth, Jason & Caroline
We had my 37 wk appt yesterday. All went well & Dr. Ling, Jason & myself decided that October 1st is a pretty good day to give birth. So we are checking into Baptist on the evening of 9/30 (after I get off work--haha)and Caroline will be expected to make her official debut sometime the following day. We are very excited about meeting her...it all seems so surreal that in 2 short weeks she will be here!
We have been laying pretty low over the past couple of weeks...no new news to report. Jason's intermural football league started up again on Sunday with their weekly games & of course, his Saturdays are usually spent either in Oxford or listening to the game at home. My Saturdays are spent beached in bed watching Dateline reruns...hehe.
I have gained about 23 lbs at this point so I am guessing she is not going to be a huge baby. Thank you, Jesus.
I'm kind of over watermelons & cherries now. I'm into grapes now.
Well, that's about all the news I can think of. We'll keep you all posted!~
Here are the party favors AKA poopy diapers Stephany made. The poopy is made out of chocolate.
This was taken at 34 weeks.
this story was on 20/20 last night. it was very eye-opening and very sad but it does make me realize just how lucky Caroline is.

Hey everyone! I thought I'd share some of my garden successes since Beth has been so diligent in sharing
her's. These are some of my morning glories. I plant them every year and every year they look better and better. I took these picture last Saturday morning; the powder blue ones are my favorite. Enjoy!

Can you believe it? Only 6 more weeks or so until the baby gets here. We are still working on the nursery...it is fit for viewing & it is fit for the baby to live in but it still isn't "finished." We are still looking for a couple of specific items for it & once we find them, I will be happy. At this rate, I think Caroline will be here before we get it done. :-(
Jason & I started our childbirth classes a couple of weeks ago but I've been so slack I've forgotten to mention it on here. We've learned a ton...for example, I didn't know that you had to have a catheter in your back for an epidural, which is rather unsettling. Stupid me, I thought it was just a shot. And Jason seems to have learned alot too, as the videos they show are rather graphic. It is too funny to watch him squirm & wince at the sight of some of those poor vaginas. It has been fun meeting all the other couples in class that are due around the same time we are...quite frankly, I can't believe all the women in that class that are having natural births.
Jean, Bill & Dot came over on Saturday for dinner. We ate hamburgers & watched the Olympics & got some great childcare advice from Bill....ie. "You'll get used to havin' baby shit underneath your fingernails." Jean gave Caroline a Brer Rabbit book that she tracked down at Davis-Kidd & a great time was had by all.
I got into poison ivy about 10 days ago...it started on my wrist & now it's spread to my boobs, legs, & arm. any suggestions? Barbie, I know you have experience here....
Other than that, I can't believe how good pickles taste right now. I was trying to describe it to Jason but it's such a heavenly taste, it can't even be put into words.
We'll post more pics soon. Hope everyone is doing well!~
