Thanks for checking out the James River Assembly website. Our hope is that you will come be a part of all God is doing in people's lives. We know that Jesus came to give us an abundant life and that is our hope for you: that you would experience real life found only in Jesus.
What to Expect at James River
Our hope is that when you come to James River you will quickly find a warm, friendly group of people committed to making church a fun, exciting, and life-changing experience.
There are services for the whole family that include wonderful contemporary worship, a time of biblical teaching, and an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ. The service will last for about an hour and 15 minutes and there will be plenty of hospitality volunteers to make sure your questions are answered.
Most people at James River Assembly dress casual contemporary. Some people will wear a suit while others will come wearing jeans. Don't feel like you have to go and buy a new outfit. Our main concern is not what you wear, but that you come and experience what God wants to do in your life.
What About Kids?
During each service there will be a special program for kids, 0-5th grade. Families may find it easiest to enter the North East or East doors, which are closest to the JamesRiverKids area. There will be greeters at all the entrances that can help you find where to take your kids. Your kids will be well taken care of and have a wonderful time at a special service that is specifically designed for them. Learn more about our kids ministry.
What About Students?
James River has a thriving student ministry that helps students connect, elevate and discover a passionate relationship with God. All students, jr. high through college, are invited to be a part of the Wednesday night 7pm service at the student center. Jr. highers are also invited to a special 9am Sunday morning service designed specifically for them. Learn more about our student ministry.
What Services Does JRA Offer?
James River has weekly services to minister to the whole family. On Sunday mornings we have 8:30, 10:00 & 11:30am services. On Sunday nights we alternate between a dynamic evening service and Life Groups, our small group ministry. The 2nd & 4th Sunday nights of the month there is Sunday night service. Life Groups meet on the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sunday nights. Wednesday nights at 7pm we have exciting services for the entire family. We strongly believe that the Wednesday Night Prayer Service is our most important meeting of the week, because if we pray everything is possible. Learn more about our service times.
