Dude, you're getting a DELL flat panel monitor

December 30, 2006

Santa was good to me this year - My brother bought me a DELL 24 UltraSharp 2407WFP Wide-Screen Black Flat Panel Monitor. This is an awesome monitor that supports WUXGA resolution (1920×1200), have 4 USB 2.0 ports and a 9-in-2 media card reader built-in. *drool* :)

Just set it up — It's amazing how bright and brilliant it is, specially compared side-by-side with my current 20 inch DELL flat panel monitor that's about 4 years old :)

Running my computer with dual monitors and it's really amazing how well it works. I have a video card ((ATI Radeon X600 SE - 256MB) with a DVI and VGA output and so I'm using both of them to drive these 2 monitors. It's cool to have Media Center running so that I can watch TV/DVR/DVD in one monitor while I'm using the other monitor for other applications.

Dude, I know that happy feeling!

I got my 24″ DELL monitor when I started working at Atlassian. I actually blogged about it in Pair Programming just got better followed by Big Screen. Now, imagine having TWO of those…

Having a big monitor is worth investing in. Enjoy the dividends!

That looks like a sweet monitor. Shame it is £720 over here (US$1420).
