Provoke Design: Mobile Concepts 2007: Express, Feel and Share

Industrial designers Janne Loiske (b. 1971), Christian Aminoff (b. 1975) and Sami Lehtovaara (b. 1971) are the founding partners of Provoke, an award winning strategic design house with offices in Helsinki, Turku and Tallinn. Provoke works with major brands such as Nokia and BMW to create future innovations. Their work is aimed at specific consumer segments and aligned with the brand of the client company. Provoke aims to help consumer-oriented companies maximize their brand value and expand their business by creating strategies for portfolio management and by innovating new concepts.
  In the HARDCORE exhibition Provoke presents three innovative concepts for the future of communication technology: Express, Feel and Share. The concepts are part of the Mobile Concepts 2007 collection of clearly differentiated devices designed for specific end-user segments.
  Express explores the possibilities for enabling new ways of expressing people’s emotions through everyday symbols. Feel studies the future capabilities for entering the realm of tangible physical communication, such as touch, with the help of communications devices. The Share concept refers to new forms of intellectual networking through the use of personalized codes developed in subgroups of likeminded individuals. Each of the concepts is based on insight regarding the telecommunication field, end-user values and future technologies.
