Visitation and Outreach Pastor

Action Ministries:

Action Ministries is an outreach designed to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the communities in the Griffin area. Crusades are held monthly in different communities each time. These services consist of cook outs, fellowship, singing and preaching. Outreaches are held on the last Saturday starting with prayer at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Altar Care Ministry:

Assistant Directors – Joe & Judy Karnap

A ministry designed to equip people with the tools needed to pray and minister to people when they come to the altar for prayer. As an altar worker you would need to be available during altar call to pray with people as Pastor Valimont requests. Altar Care Training is available twice per year. Intercessory Prayer Ministry:

Assistant Directors – Teresa Buckalew and Kim Martin

A prayer ministry designed to offer the opportunity to people to come together with other believers and pray for families, church staff, services, nation and national leaders. As an intercessory prayer warrior you would meet in the board room for the 10:45 am or 6:00 pm service to intercede for the services throughout the campus. Click here for more information.

Jail Ministry:

Assistant Director – Ray Fair

First Assembly's jail ministry takes the hope of Jesus Christ into the areas jails, detention centers, rehabilitation facilities and prisons. We currently serve in seventeen facilities. In 2006 we ministered to over 17,000 inmates, seeing 3,788 salvations. Our goal for 2007 is to minister to 22,000 inmates and expand to 20 facilities. Nursing Home Ministry:

Assistant Director – Gary Fleck

Our nursing home ministry reaches out to the elderly and disabled by taking the Word of God into long term care and nursing home facilities. During these services the residents join us in worship and hearing the Word. Most facilities allow room to room visitation enabling us to pray with residents who are not able to attend services. Watchman Prayer Ministry

Assistant Directors – Stephanie Ruffin and Teresa Buckalew

A ministry you can participate in from your own home! The Watchman Prayer Ministry is a group of individuals who have answered the call to pray continuously until the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Since no one can pray 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, each one has agreed to pray one hour a week.
